Sorria, Chaplin!!

Há exatos 121 anos, no dia 16 de abril de 1889, nascia aquele que seria conhecido como o gênio da Era de Ouro do cinema : Charles Spencer Chaplin Jr. Esse inglês foi ator, diretor, dançarino, roteirista, músico, enfim, um artista completo.

Não vou aqui escrever tudo que o intérprete de Carlitos fez em vida(quem se interessar, acesse a Wikipedia clicando aqui), mas sim relembrar uma das canções que ele deixou para a eternidade : Smile, que já foi regravada por Michael Jackson, Djavan e até mesmo Roberto Carlos, entre inúmeros outros artistas. Letra, melodia, tudo se encaixa, vale a pena conferir.

P.S.: A letra da cançao Smile foi composta por John Turner e Geoffrey Parsons em 1954. Chaplin compôs a melodia para o filme Tempos Modernos, de 1936. A tradução Sorri foi feita em 1955 pelo compositor João de Barro, mais conhecido como Braguinha.
